About the service

Free Font Universe is a catalog that lets you preview and download fonts. We provide access to the files, but we do not own the fonts. Each font is the property of its respective author or foundry.

Font licenses come first

The fact that a font is free to download does not mean it is free for every use. Each font carries its own license, found in the readme inside the download or linked on the font's page. That license always takes precedence. You are responsible for reading it and using the font within its terms, especially for commercial or web use. See our licensing guide.

Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, bulk-download or republish our catalog.
• Do not use the site to distribute malware or misrepresent a font's license.
• Do not overload or attempt to disrupt the service.

No warranty

The site and the fonts are provided as is, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to describe fonts accurately, but we cannot guarantee that a font is complete, error-free or suitable for your purpose. Download and use fonts at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Free Font Universe is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or any font downloaded from it.
